This fifth-CONTAMINATION VIDEOART festival continues to be characterized by the proposed content and video from styles as diverse as the mirror of our complex contemporary reality.
 After the avant-gardes, the experiences of the Second World War, with the neo-avant-garde, after happenings, performances, installations, land art, body art, Arte Povera, audio visual installations by Nam June Paik and Wolf Wostell members of the Fluxus group, we now living in the middle of a new, fundamental change in the arts in general and new media in particular.
The classification logically abstract or figurative loses all meaning and is a concept referring to the aesthetic product obsolete. The new technologies have created unprecedented synthesis of the artistic expression that go beyond old and useless distinctions. We are in the full development of the art multimedia where video art seems to play a role in synthesis, connecting, making the glue and interacting with players of many different disciplines.
When it comes to Video Art-Contamination clear what you want the relationship to other forms of expression which often becomes inextricable dynamic interchange. The video can incorporate, synthesize, and manipulate sound in a single device-view, the “old” languages of painting and sculpture, theater and dance, installations and performances, but also feed on the experience of cinema and a hybrid exchange relationship with the TV and its screen. In turn, become the old and new media of expression using the integrated video projections in their specific area, lending itself to a deeper contamination. The installation, theater, dance, music, poetry increasingly interact with video images, complement, drawing a significant increase.
The relationship with science is twofold: on the one hand, the most sophisticated video art is the daughter of applied scientific research and in fact one can not but point out that its development is closely linked to scientific research, especially quantum physics, to develop technologies that allow more more advanced, creating a virtually unlimited possibilities for experimentation. While on the other hand, the video art that can process images in parallel with the sciences, investigating the possibility of building new brave reality.
The art and science are certainly areas in which the intellect can operate at higher levels to attain knowledge and for this reason, the interaction between them should be the rule for the future.

QUINTA RASSEGNA

Questa quinta rassegna VIDEOART-CONTAMINAZIONI continua a caratterizzarsi per la proposta di video dai contenuti e stili più disparati, come specchio della nostra complessa realtà contemporanea.
Dopo le avanguardie storiche, le esperienze del secondo dopoguerra, con le neo-avanguardie, dopo happening, performance, installazioni, land art, body art, arte povera, le installazioni audio visive di Nam June Paik e Wolf Wostell esponenti del gruppo Fluxus, stiamo oggi vivendo in pieno una nuova, profonda metamorfosi nel campo delle arti in genere e dei nuovi media in particolare.
La classificazione in arte astratta o figurativa perde logicamente ogni significato e rimane una concezione obsoleta riferita al prodotto estetico. Le nuove tecnologie applicate all’espressione artistica hanno creato inedite sintesi espressive che vanno ben oltre vecchie ed inutili distinzioni. Siamo nel pieno sviluppo di un’arte multimediale dove la videoart sembra svolgere un ruolo di sintesi, collegandosi, facendo da collante e interagendo con i protagonisti delle più varie discipline.
Quando si parla di Videoart-Contaminazioni si vuole evidenziare con chiarezza il rapporto con altre forme espressive, dove spesso la dinamica di interscambio diventa inestricabile. Il video può inglobare, sintetizzandoli e trasformandoli in un unico dispositivo sonoro-visuale, i “vecchi” linguaggi della pittura e scultura, del teatro e della danza, di installazioni e performance, ma anche nutrirsi di tutta l’esperienza del cinema e di un ibrido rapporto di interscambio con la tv e il suo schermo. A loro volta ormai i vecchi e nuovi media espressivi usano le proiezioni video integrandole nella loro area specifica, prestandosi ad una contaminazione sempre più profonda. L’installazione, il teatro, la danza, la musica, la poesia interagiscono sempre più con immagini video, si completano, traendone un notevole potenziamento.
Con la scienza il rapporto è duplice: da un lato la videoart è figlia della più sofisticata ricerca scientifica applicata ed infatti non si può non sottolineare che il suo sviluppo è strettamente legato alle ricerche scientifiche, soprattutto alla fisica quantistica, che consentono di elaborare tecnologie sempre più avanzate creando una pressoché illimitata possibilità di sperimentazione. Mentre dall’altro lato  la videoart può elaborare immagini che, in parallelo con le scienze, investigano la possibilità di costruire nuove coraggiose realtà.
L’arte e la scienza sono sicuramente i campi nei quali l’intelletto può operare ai più alti livelli per giungere alla conoscenza e proprio per questo motivo l’interazione tra di essi dovrà essere la regola per il futuro.
