The exhibition “The transparency of the real,” proposes to base of artistic research the relationship art / science. The two disciplines can integrate well because, in the specificity of their instruments, they have end as common knowledge.
In the light of the latest scientific theories, the world, in its appearance, is structured as an endless series of Chinese boxes. How transparent membranes that together give us the feeling of what we perceive as reality.

It seems that everything retreats behind its appearance and is never identical to itself. Even the fathers of quantum mechanics, in front of the result of their equations, considered the microscopic world radically strange and mysterious.

But it is equally problematic not the apparent strangeness of the macroscopic world? Things manifest in all evidence but do not let decipher. The world “as is” escapes investigation of the way. The impossibility of objective truth is the situation of experimental science sanctioned by the uncertainty principle of Heisenberg.

Baudrillard writes: “… it is as if things had swallowed their mirror and they become transparent to themselves, fully present to themselves, in full light, in real time, in a transcript inexorable …”

“Transparency is the great concept / image container of modernity. It was his biggest paradox, perhaps. Metaphor emblematic of modern architecture, transparency was also the great metaphor at the base of the process of democratization and socialization of art and culture.
But the supposed transparency of the conceptual architectural devices, the “Exhibition Complexes”, programs and structures, will be contradicted by ‘”uncanny opacity” of reality. As in the Grand Verre by Duchamp, “illusions and disappointments one after another, and, little by little, we understand that transparency is not what is perfectly clear, but what is clearly complex” (R. Koolhaas).

Art the task of translating the feeling with its specific language of the enigmatic character of the world.
