BIENNALE COLLEGE ARTE: SELEZIONATI I 12 ARTISTI E ARTISTE DELLA 1A EDIZIONE 2021-22

In occasione della 59. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte della Biennale di Venezia, che aprirà al pubblico dal 23 aprile al 27 novembre 2022, sono stati annunciati i 12 artisti/e selezionati per la 1a edizione di Biennale College Arte 2021/22 che parteciperanno al workshop in programma dall’1 al 10 ottobre 2021.

Al bando di partecipazione hanno aderito oltre 250 giovani artisti/e emergenti under 30 provenienti da 58 paesi in tutto il mondo. Più della metà le donne.

I 12 artisti/e selezionati per questa prima fase di Biennale College Arte sono:

  3. Jacopo Belloni (Nato ad Ancona, Italia. Vive tra Ginevra, Svizzera e Roma, Italia)
  4. Simnikiwe Buhlungu (Nata a Johanensburg, Sudafrica. Vive ad Amsterdam, Olanda)
  5. Ambra Castagnetti (Nata a Genova, Italia. Vive a Milano, Italia)
  6. Salomé Chatriot (Nata a Suresnes, Francia. Vive a Parigi, Francia)
  7. Andro Eradze (Nato a Tbilisi, Georgia. Vive a Tbilisi, Georgia)
  8. Jantsankhorol Erdenebayar (Nato in Mongolia. Vive a Ulan Bator, Mongolia)
  9. Beatrice Favaretto (Nata a Venezia, Italia. Vive a Roma, Italia)
  10. Kudzanai-Violet Hwami (Nata a Gutu, Zimbabwe. Vive a Londra, UK)
  11. Eva L’Hoest (Nata a Liegi, Belgio. Vive a Bruxelles, Belgio)
  12. Antonio Tarsis (Nato a Salvador, Brasile. Vive tra Londra e Salvador)

In programma un workshop dall’1 al 10 ottobre 2021. Il workshop alternerà momenti sia individuali che di gruppo, e sarà coordinato dalla Direttrice del Settore Arti Visive, Cecilia Alemani, assieme a tutor direttamente impegnati allo sviluppo dei progetti con i partecipanti.

Al termine verranno selezionati un massimo di 4 tra questi dodici artisti e artiste che potranno accedere a un contributo di 25.000 euro per la realizzazione del lavoro finale. Le opere realizzate saranno presentate, fuori concorso, nel contesto della 59. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte della Biennale di Venezia, Il latte dei sogni / The Milk of Dreams, a cura di Cecilia Alemani.

Biennale College è il progetto della Biennale di Venezia dedicato alla formazione e al supporto dei giovani in tutti i settori artistici e nelle attività proprie della struttura organizzativa della Biennale. Già attivo per i settori di Cinema, Danza, Musica, Teatro e Archivio Storico, Biennale College nasce con l’obiettivo di promuovere giovani talenti, offrendo loro di operare a contatto con Maestri per la messa a punto di “creazioni” che diventeranno parte dei programmi dei Settori artistici.

 

BIENNALE COLLEGE ARTE: SELECTION ANNOUNCED FOR THE 12 ARTISTS OF THE 1ST EDITION 2021-22

The artists come from Afghanistan, Belgium, Brazil, France, Georgia, Italy, Mongolia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

On the occasion of the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, open to the public from April 23rd to November 27th 2022, 12 artists have been selected for the 1st edition of Biennale College Arte 2021/22. They will participate in the first 10-day workshop which will be held from October 1-10, 2021.

Over 250 young emerging artists under 30 from 58 countries around the world have joined the call for participation. More than half are women.

The 12 artists selected for this first phase of Biennale College Arte are:

Bolatito Aderemi-Ibitola (born in Lagos, Nigeria; lives in Lagos, Nigeria)

Antonio Tarsis (born in Salvador, Brazil; lives between London and Salvador
The workshop, alternating individual and group sessions, will be coordinated by the Director of the Visual Arts Department, Cecilia Alemani, together with tutors working directly with the participants on the development of the projects.

After the workshop, up to 4 of these artists will be selected to receive a grant of 25,000 euro for the realization of the final work. The artworks will be presented out of competition in the context of the 59thInternational Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Il latte dei sogni / The Milk of Dreams, curated by Cecilia Alemani.
