It opens Saturday, October 20th at 19:30 the exhibition of contemporary art “OUR FUTURE IMAGINED: The vision imagined and painted a future (almost) perfect.” The exhibition is curated by Dores Sacquegna.

The Art dies without imagination. Past, present and future have always been interested in artists of all time and this exhibition highlights a systematic overview of possible scenarios of a future almost perfect, in which the question is like to paraphrase J.Maddox: “What remains to be find out? “. Of course, the history of the future is not yet written and our present is certainly different from the imagined future to less than half a century ago. Cinema and literature have often been theories about the future. In the history of science fiction future begins in 2019 with the film “Blade Runner,” based on the novel by Philip K. Dick, which tells of a multiethnic metropolis, populated by wandering humanity, a world governed by codes of computer science and bioengineering. today, the reality exceeds imagination, and we can imagine that the impossible can be realized sooner or later. On the future of the planet, the video “Welcome Aboard” by Sarah Ciracì which involves two scientists: Vincenzo Balzani, chemist and professor emeritus at Alma Mater, and Nicola Armaroli, a researcher at the National Research Council in Bologna, both signatories of scientists against nuclear power. Laura Victore has on display an installation entitled “A Beautiful Demise” which concerns the scenario of a terrestrial planet, created with the combination of satellite imagery, aerial photographs and relics dimensional.  With “Senso plurimo”, Alessandro Passaro (Brindisi, 1974) creates chromatic textures on the surface of the canvas, playing on contrasts and hybrid forms, so that the distinction between inside and outside is emptied of meaning, but it is full of deep symbolic meanings , enigmatic and magical. And in the tangle of textures, Passaro, look for the skin itself of the work, a body that is permeable and waterproof, insulating and regenerator as a fabric that soaks up the mood of our daily poison to get to the labyrinth of the psyche.

With “Quand la couleur sera plus forte que le langage, le Monde fera entendre sa musique en pleine lumière”,  the works on Quator by Catherine Drouin Goutal on climate change. Aliza Morell reflects on the meaning of life every day, while Christine Cézanne–Thauss imagines a future with more awareness, the need to “return to their roots” to rediscover the meaning of what we lost in the supermarket and technology in the dispersion of the urban world as a sign of peace and love. On the cities and the noise the series of works by Paolo Cervino in its morphologies border. The use of primary colors, the archaic and the loneliness of the landscape without barriers, in the works of Judith Donaghy in the two-dimensional surface in three-dimensional space. Works open to listening in the photographs by Danilo De Mitri with poetry and lyricism that evokes a kind of earthly paradise, a return to origins, to the world of fairies. Between focus and fade, the artist moves on different planes of color, sign, space, the plastic values with the final result of an intriguing multidimensional.

Each work, you know, is always metaphorical. The geometry in the game of solids and voids, stabilize, order, exalts the concept of time as a mental abstraction in the work by Judith Duquemin. But there is still more difficult to accept that time is a dimension of our own human and the universe, is actually timeless. In fact, the size of thousands of galaxies for us is not a place but an unimaginable scale.  For Lindsay Keys to the horizon is a place where the outside meets the inside, life with death, the rational with the irrational. Emotional geographies by Ivan Rivera is where the fragment to emerge and redefine the space and volume. Stories and traces in the iconography by Gerard Frances and Tom Ma. “Inside the secret things” is the title of a video of Paolo Consorti inspired by the Divine Comedy, and of which the artist has recreated a set involving actors to pose for a surreal story Dante in Hell. “Starless”, is the title of the photography by Consorti, and its was realized with shots and special effects.

We are in the land of nobody, space is enlarged, is a timeless place where Dario Manco in the purity of white, focuses on a series of works dedicated to the people “invisible”, the many homeless that populate our streets and become an integral part a landscape of insecurity and loneliness.
“Cura de Sueño” (or care of sleep) is the title of the video installation that brings Mariana Thome shows a possible scenario of great interest. With aseptic technique manic prepares a bedroom with patches to reiterate that the only salvation in this sterile continuity lies in the constant awareness of the doubt, in bipolarity, which in fact is the science of opposites. Jolanda Jensen uses her body as a medium of business and communication, such as subject and object of representation, exploring the limits and physical strength, tension, movement and space. Recurring themes by Suus Baltussen are connecting and meeting. The artist, in fact creates large installations of wood and metal, which become interdisciplinary works to establish a contact between people through sound and sharing of living areas.

The artist knows that the culture and history will not solve the knots of time and the value of the work lies in the track, in the abstract matrix of their passage. Art, in fact, proposes the game of eternal movement and suspension of time. The analysis of all the works in the exhibition gives us an overall view of a thought about the present and future, through reflections plural and synesthesia, which are fed by a system that is fed every day by the new. And the future? It is not an absolute truth. The truth of the world is in the dispersion, in charge of energy that travels the world and bring the world as a clash of different polarities. And finally: every artist must, as Cadmus said, give the gift to the people of a new alphabet, fabric signs with which to interpret the essence of the mystery.

IL NOSTRO FUTURO IMMAGINATO
La visione immaginata e dipinta, di un futuro (quasi) perfetto
Inaugurazione Sabato 20 Ottobre ore 19:30

Si inaugura SABATO 20 OTTOBRE alle ore 19:30 la mostra d’arte contemporanea “IL NOSTRO FUTURO IMMAGINATO: La visione immaginata e dipinta di un futuro (quasi) perfetto”.  La mostra è curata da Dores Sacquegna.

L’Arte muore senza immaginazione. Passato, presente e futuro hanno interessato da sempre artisti di tutti i tempi e questa mostra mette in luce una visione sistematica di possibili scenari di un futuro quasi perfetto, in cui c’è da chiedersi, parafrasando J. Maddox: “Che cosa resta da scoprire?”. Di certo, la storia del futuro non è ancora stata scritta e il nostro presente è certamente diverso dal futuro immaginato fino a meno di mezzo secolo fa. Sia il Cinema che la letteratura, hanno spesso fatto teorie sul futuro. Nella fantascienza la storia del futuro inizia nel 2019 con il film “Blade Runner”, tratto dal romanzo di Philip Dick, che racconta di una megalopoli multietnica, popolata da un’umanità errante, un mondo governato dai codici dell’informatica e dalla bioingegneria. Oggi la realtà supera la fantasia, e possiamo immaginare che le cose impossibili si possano realizzare prima o poi. Sul futuro del pianeta il video “Welcome Aboard” di Sarah Ciracì  in cui coinvolge due studiosi: Vincenzo Balzani, chimico e professore emerito all’Alma Mater, e Nicola Armaroli, ricercatore del Cnr di Bologna, entrambi firmatari dell’appello degli scienziati contro il nucleare. Laura  Victore presenta in mostra una installazione dal titolo “A beautiful Demise” che riguarda lo scenario di un possibile pianeta terrestre, creato con la combinazione di immagini prese dal satellite, vedute aeree e reliquie tridimensionali.

Con “Senso plurimo”, Alessandro Passaro (Mesagne, Brindisi, 1974) crea textures cromatiche sulla superficie della tela, giocando sui contrasti e sulle forme ibride, così che la distinzione tra interno ed esterno si svuota di senso, ma si carica di profondi significati simbolici, enigmatici, magici. E nel groviglio di texture, Passaro, cerca la pelle stessa dell’opera, un organo che sia permeabile e impermeabile, rigeneratore e isolante, come un tessuto che si imbeve degli umori velenosi del nostro quotidiano per arrivare al labirinto della psiche.

Con “Quand la couleur sera plus forte que le langage, le Monde fera entendre sa musique en pleine lumière”, le opere del Quator di Catherine Drouin Goutal sui cambiamenti climatici. Aliza Morell riflette sul significato della vita  di ogni giorno, mentre Christine Cézanne-Thauss immagina un futuro con più consapevolezza, quella necessaria per “ritornare alla proprie origini” per ritrovare il senso di quello che abbiamo perso nel supermercato tecnologico e nella dispersione del mondo urbano, nel segno della pace e dell’amore. Sulle città e l’inquinamento acustico la serie di opere di Paolo Cervino nelle sue morfologie di confine. L’uso dei colori primari, l’arcaicità e la solitudine del paesaggio senza barriere, nelle opere  di Judith Donaghy nella bidimensionalità della superficie e nella tridimensionalità dello spazio. Opere aperte all’ascolto di sé, le fotografie di Danilo De Mitri che con poesia e lirismo evoca una sorta di paradiso terrestre, un ritorno alle origini, nel mondo delle fate. Tra messa a fuoco e dissolvenza, l’artista si muove sui diversi piani del colore, del segno, dello spazio, dei valori plastici  col risultato finale di una intrigante pluridimensionalità.

Ogni opera, si sa, è sempre metaforica. La geometria nel gioco di pieni e di vuoti, stabilizza, ordina, sublima il concetto del tempo come astrazione mentale nell’opera di Judith Duquemin. Ma resta ancora più difficile accettare che il tempo è una dimensione tutta nostra, umana e che l’universo, in realtà è senza tempo. Infatti la dimensione di migliaia di galassie per noi non è uno spazio ma una entità inimmaginabile. Per Lindsay Keys l’orizzonte è un luogo dove il fuori si incontra con il dentro, la vita con la morte, il razionale con l’irrazionale. Geografie emozionali per Ivan Rivera dove è il frammento ad emergere e ridefinire gli spazi e i volumi. Storie e tracce nelle iconografiche di Gerard Frances e Tom Ma. “Dentro le segrete cose” è il titolo di un video di Paolo Consorti ispirato alla Divina Commedia, e di cui l’artista ha ricreato un set coinvolgendo attori a posare per una storia surreale sull’Inferno dantesco. “Starless”, la fotografia in mostra è realizzata con inquadrature ed effetti speciali.  Siamo nella terra dei nessuno; lo spazio è dilatato, è un luogo atemporale in cui  Dario Manco nella purezza del bianco, mette a fuoco una serie di opere dedicate alle persone “invisibili”, i tanti  clochard che popolano le nostre strade e diventano parte integrante di un paesaggio di precarietà e solitudine.

“Cura de Sueño” (o cura del sonno) è il titolo della video installazione di Mariana Thome  che porta in mostra un possibile scenario di grande attualità. Con tecnica maniacale allestisce una asettica camera da letto con cerotti  per ribadire che l’unica salvezza in questa sterile continuità, sta nella costante coscienza del dubbio, nella bipolarità, che di fatto è la scienza degli opposti. Jolanda Jensen usa il suo come medium di lavoro e di comunicazione, come oggetto e soggetto della rappresentazione, esplorando i limiti e la resistenza fisica, le tensioni, il movimento e lo spazio. Tematiche ricorrenti di Suus Baltussen sono la connessione e l’incontro. L’artista, infatti realizza grandi installazioni di legno e metallo, che diventano  opere interdisciplinari per stabilire un contatto tra le persone attraverso il suono e la condivisione di spazi conviviali.

L’artista sa che la cultura e la storia non risolvono i nodi del tempo e il valore dell’opera sta nella traccia, nella  matrice astratta del loro passaggio. L’arte, infatti, propone il gioco dell’eterna circolazione e della sospensione del tempo. L’analisi di tutte le  opere in mostra ci offre una visione complessiva di un pensiero sul presente e sul futuro, attraverso riflessioni plurali e sinestetiche, che si alimentano da un sistema che si alimenta ogni giorno dal nuovo. E il futuro? Non è una verità assoluta. La verità del mondo sta nella dispersione, nella carica di energia che attraversa il mondo e proporre il mondo come scontro di polarità diverse. E per concludere: ogni artista deve, come dice Cadmo, offrire il dono agli uomini di un nuovo alfabeto, tessuto di segni con i quali interpretare la sostanza del mistero.
