SET Gallery is pleased to present The Interview, an international curatorial project that represents a group of artists of diverse backgrounds, who work in a variety of styles and medias. The only binding event is the interview initiated by the curators.

The show arises from a series of interviews conducted by Irina Danilova and Hiram Levy over the course of several years with artists as they turn 59. Bringing together a group of artists sporadically formed through the years, Irina and Hiram are interested in personal trajectories and the ways in which the social, cultural and historic intersect in life and art.

The Interview presents:
artworks by Rick Klauber (Brooklyn, NY), Sam Cady (Friendship, Maine), Valeriy Ayzenberg (Moscow, Russia),  Gail Nathan (The Bronx, NY), Zoya Trofimova (Cleveland, OH), Vladimir Danilov (Sudak, Ukraine) and Mark Polyakov (NYC, NY);
along with works that reflect the phenomenology of aging, a theme suggested by the curators, by Peter Malone (Staten Island, NY), Martha Wilson (Brookyn, NY), Angelo Riviello (Campagna- SA-NAPOLI, Italy) and Barbara Rosenthal (NYC);
and works by Fritzie Brown (NYC, NY), Konstantin K.Kuzminsky (Lordville, NY), Alberto Bursztyn (Brooklyn, NY) that were produced during the interview itself or inspired by it.

The Interview is a continuation of conversations with artists, a visualization of project-based networking. It offers a visual and experiential representation of the intricate relationships between artists and their own personal, social and cultural histories.

SET Gallery è lieta di presentare L’Intervista un progetto curatoriale internazionale che rappresenta un gruppo di artisti di diversa estrazione, che lavorano in una varietà di stili e di media. L’unico evento vincolante è il colloquio avviato dai curatori.

La mostra nasce da una serie di interviste condotte da Irina Danilova e Hiram Levy nel corso di diversi anni con artisti conosciuti grazie al progetto 59. Riunisce sporadicamente un gruppo di artisti  formatosi nel corso degli anni. Irina e Hiram sono interessati a traiettorie personali e il modo in cui si intersecano, tra il sociale, culturale e storico nella vita e nell’arte.

L’Intervista presenta
